Halloween is next weekend and I have no idea what I want to do, or if I want to do anything at all. However I know what Halloween movies I like and I love that this time of year they all make a comeback.
First thing’s first…I really hope each and everyone one of you has seen Children of the Corn. this is one of the few movies that no matter what, no matter when, if I come across it I am glued to the television until the credits roll. It’s about a terrifying world where…God I can’t even say it…Where CHILDREN HAVE OVERTHROWN ADULTS! These kids are mental. Especially toward people who try to come into their crazy world. The Outlanders. It’s a Stephen King flick, and it’s just great.
One of my favorite scary movies of more recent times is the remake of Dawn of the Dead, which I think is flat out great. the cast is great, the creative team is great, it has lots of scares and is just fun to watch. So if you haven’t seen or it refuse to because “How can it tarnish the kingdom built by George Romero!” Well, go watch Diary of the Dead, then you’ll feel better about seeing a GOOD zombie movie.
I’ve yet to decide if I will dress up this Halloween. I’m thinking likely not but strange thigns tend to happen at the last minute. I don’t think I’ve worn a costume since Hulk Hogan a few years back…Something I’m shocked I don’t have a picture of. But I have one from when I was Michaelangelo to get into a bar for free. Cause cheap booze and no cover charge is the real reason to dress Up:
But my favorite costume was totally from second grade…After a little movie called Dick Tracy rocked my world to it’s very foundation.
So yeah, not sure about THIS year, but we will see. I’ve been hearing arout this rather large party downtown on halloween and since it’s on a Saturday this year…Hell, maybe I should just go and be social with the world.
By the way, if you aren’t watching sons of Anarchy then you are really missing out on the best stuff on TV this year. I was a big fan last year, but they are really outdoing themselves on this go round. It’s just so damn entertaining and hooks you in.
Alright, well I think I’m going to sit back and watch the U2 live concert webcast…I was supposed to be AT this show…It’s crushing me to think about it. I guess I’ll just have to wait for my moment a little bit longer. 2010, don’t you let me down. What the hell? I guess no opening act and instead there’s a 30 minute countdown.
