The blizzard is gone and has left a lot of snow in it’s wake. Luckily we got up high enough this weekend that they could salt the roads so the main roads are snow free, now. Most of the side streets are like a war zone, though. It’s kinda’ fun.

Went out bowling with a couple folks on Friday night. In keeping with tradition, I did really REALLY awful. And had a great time. Saturday I mostly hung around the house, but at night I ventured downtown to check out the Found Footage Festival, which is awesome and something everyone should check out. The two guys who run it are essentially on a never-ending search for awesomely bad VHS tapes. They find them and edit them into montage’s and such and do a running live commentary over them. Such an inventive idea for a show and a truly fun Saturday night activity. And I got to see Chuck Norris’s cartoon.

Then today I got to check out Princess and the Frog, which was just great. It was wonderful and broke my top 5 movies for the year…A list which I will throw up soon. I’m so glad Disney has not shut the door on traditional animation…And as it looks like this movie nabbed the number one spot for the weekend, I’m willing to bet it’s still not shut and we will see more, which I’m rather glad about.

Spooky seems to be doing a bit better. The vet switched her to another antibiotic, which I hate having to give to her as it’s a decent sized pill and she knows I’m drugging her. Right now she’s kinda freaking out, jumping around and being insane. And her pupils are dilated. What the hell is that all about? She’s crazy, but she’s great.

Speaking of crazy, I’m checking out the first episode of the new MTV show jersey Shore. Has there ever been a less redeemable group of people on television? I feel sorry for Italians everywhere. guys, don’t worry, we don’t think these six losers represent you. Their house has a Scarface poster. Maybe 2. Who the fuck are these people and where did they come from?
