So there’s a lot of things in this world that I know about that you probably don’t…And that hurts my heart. So I figured I’d share a couple of those things.

First up is a TV show known as Sons of Anarchy.

That little promo was in front of the first season, which came last year. They just finished up Season 2 with the best episode of television I’ve seen this year. And I would hope that would say something. The idea behind this show is a rather simple one, to be honest. It focuses on the goings on of an outlaw motorcycle club in a small town in central California. The cast is top notch with Charlie Hunam (The brit kid from Undeclared), Ron Pearlman (Hellboy), and Katey Sagal (Peg Bundy from Married with Children). Round that out with an awesome cast of supporting characters compromising the rest of the club, Hunam’s doctor-girlfriend, enemies of the club, and the local law enforcement and you have the makings of a really interesting story. Please, PLEASE give this show a shot. It really, truly deserves it.

There’s even a few episodes and clips online at Hulu. I cannot sell this show enough. Season 1 is on DVD and it well worth the price.

I also love Podcasts. And there’s one I am relatively sure NO ONE who reads this has ever heard of, and it’s a shame…Because it’s one of the best sources for funny I have. I keep all of the episodes on my iPod so I can revisit them…Which I do quite a bit.

Party Truck USA is a podcast off of AngryNakedPat.com, the website of comic writer Bryan Lynch. Lynch and three of his friends host this “weekly” (By week I mean three in 2009) podcast that covers all manner of pop culture, movies, TV shows, comics, and HILLARITY. Bryan, Brian, Jordy, and Rich (Who I have learned is a jerk) are four very funny people and they demand your laughs. You’ll be singing along to the Podcast before you realize it.

Yes, I said singing.

A secondary podcast that many of you may listen to as it’s in the top podcasts, I believe, is SModcast. SModcast is hosted by director Kevin Smith (Silent Bob) and producer Scott Mosier (Who is ridiculously funny) with special appearances here and there by their friends (Jason Mewes, Walt Flanagan, Bryan Johnson…Who also co-hosted episode 11 of Party truck USA…and Malcolm Ingraham, not to mention Kevin’s own wife)

Finally, why not a music pick? Pete Stewart is the former (and oddly current as they’ve reunited) frontman of the rock group Grammatrain. His solo stuff is really quite awesome and I urge you all to head over to his MySpace page to check some of it out. Beyond the vocals, he’s just an incredible guitarist..>Something he frankly deserves a lot of acclaim for.

Oh and how about a blog for good measure? I stumbled upon Dating is Miserable a couple months back and it has quickly become destination reading for me. The author, Amanda, is quite funny and knows how to weave a tale in regards to her social life. It’s a ridiculously entertaining blog that you should give a look.
